Broken arch hood with mahogany panel below hood and mahogany insets to case.
Reeded mahogany pillars to hood with repeated half pillars to rear of hood.
Long trunk door with wavy top and reeded mahogany pillars to side of trunk.
Width at widest point 25" (Hood).
Panel to base and bracket feet.
Large original lock escutcheon to trunk door of unusual bird design.
Dial :
Brass dial rolling moon with painted stars, night sky and clouds.
Arch dial 16.5" x 11.75" with well engraved centre.
Moon hemispheres are engraved as man in moon and latitude / longitude.
Matted dial with engraved birds at 2 and 10 o' clock.
Maker's name is engraved on semi circular name plate above salt box date aperture
with engraved area in that enclosed area.
Silvered minute chapter ring with half hour markers.
Silvered seconds chapter ring within which is engraved star burst.
Wheatear engraving around dial and arch.
Good quality scroll style spandrels.
Matching steel hour, minute and second hands.
Roman numerals.

period with central shaped mounting in broken arch and 12" dial.
