Swan neck hood with carved wooden paterae and original finials.
Fretwork below swan neck.
Brass capped reeded pillars to hood.
Long trunk door with wavy top and matched book-end panels, also
matched in base panel.
Ogee feet.
Width at widest point 22" (Hood).

Brass arch 18" x 13" dial.
Maker's name engraved on boss in arch with Dolphin arch spandrels
each side of boss.
Silvered minutes and seconds chapter rings.
Engraved centre with salt box date aperture.
Good quality large cherub style spandrels.
Steel hour, minute and second hands.
Roman numerals.

John Fisher was known to be working c1740 - 1750 and a square brass
dial clock of this age has been noted.
An 18 century clock by this maker has also been noted with the name
'Henry Watson' engraved round the dial in the V to V11 area. There
was a clock maker of this name in Blackburn who signed clocks without
a town name and it appears he was the engraver.
There was a clockmaker Henry Fisher of Preston c1775 and Preston
Museum have a watch by him but no date is known. He may have been
a son of John Fisher.
