Brass capped pillars to hood door and to quarter pillars to back of hood.
Arched side windows to side of hood.
Bracket feet.
Dial :
Painted dial with bird in arch resembling a wood pigeon but mythical.
Roman numerals
Matching hour,minute and calendar hands.
History : Richard Herring of Drybridge, Newark, Nottinghamshire , 1790-1810
turned out a sedan chair clock and a longcase 8 day, painted dial with calendar
and automation movement featuring Adam and Eve in the dial arch standing in the
Garden of Eden.
A watch by Richard Herring is held in Newark Museum.
