Arched hood and mahogany case.
Brass capped reeded columns to hood with London style brass inserts and door lock.
Side windows to hood and rear splats to hood rear.
Long trunk door with semi circular top.
Width at widest point 20" (Hood).
Double plinth base with shaped bottom
Dial :
Painted dial rolling moon arched dial 12" x 17" with rolling moons against a seascape
and landscape by Wilson of Birmingham.
Rose and honeysuckle spandrels with a trailing garland of flowers above 6.00 o'clock.
Matching brass hour and minute hands in style of earlier steel hands and brass
second hand.
Roman numerals and date aperture.

Known working dates 1784 - 1834 at 15 Old Market, Bristol.
Son of a brass maker and was made a Burgess of Bristol on 8 October 1812.
Married Sarah Nash on 4 October 1784 at St James Church, Bristol

J & N Edgcumbe at the above address of 15 Old Market, Bristol.
The maker's surname alternatively appears as 'Edgecumb' and 'Edgecumbe'
