The station was opened to traffic on 3 May 1886.The clock was deemed a special
item and as such was separate from Young's main contract at £150.15s. 0d
Also a fine 3-train flat bed gravity escapement turret clock erected in St Andrews
church, Norwich, with DIXON NORWICH on setting dial.
